How to display Board via Chromecast This article gives the step-by-step instructions on how to get your Board setup using Google Chromecast. Ryne

One of the easiest ways to get your Board displayed on a TV or monitor is using the Google Chromecast Ultra device. They cost about $70 and pretty simple to install.

Step 1: Plug in your Chromecast device

Plug Chromecast into your TV, then connect the USB power cable to your Chromecast. Then either plug the other end of the USB power cable into an open USB port on your TV OR into the included power adapter which you will then plug into a power outlet.

Note: Only use the provided AC adapter.

Step 2: Connect your Chromecast device

Double check that the Chromecast and the mobile device or tablet you are using to set up Chromecast with are both on the same Wi-Fi network.

Step 3: Download the Google Home app

On your mobile device or tablet, download the Google Home app

Step 4: Set up Chromecast

Follow these simple Chromecast setup instructions.

Step 5: Cast content from Gigg Board

In order to cast your Board, login to your Gigg account. Click on the Board you want to display in the left sidebar. Be sure to select a Published Board. Ensure that you have enough posts pinned to your Board (i.e., minimum of 27) and include upload your Hashtag Image under Board Settings. From the menu in the righthand corner, click on the Display Board button. From here, select which display you want to cast to the TV. Once you've selected a display, this icon will appear. By clicking here, you can cast the Board to the TV.

Chromecast Icon isn't Displaying?

Are you trying to cast your Board to the TV but the Chromecast Icon isn't displaying? This could be for multiple reasons. Just double check to make sure the TV and the Chromecast are both turned on!

The first thing to check is where you are trying to cast the Board from. If you are using an Apple device, you can only cast from a laptop. Apple doesn't allow casting from an IPad or an IPhone. You can cast from any Android device.

Next, I would double check to make sure your TV is connected to the same WiFi as your device you are trying to cast from. These need to be on the same WiFi network in order to cast the Board from a device to the TV.

Lastly, make sure you are casting from a Google Chrome browser. Gigg will only properly cast from Google Chrome.
